“Fearless” — recognition of the powerful bison’s spirit that reminds us of our capacity to turn and face challenge head on, to remember who we are and what we are made of. When we connect deeply with the natural world, we connect with the entirety of our human nature as well.

This style of hand-illustrated engraving has been around since the 1800s. A panel of Masonite is covered with white clay and then a thin layer of black ink on top. Jennifer uses a small Xacto blade and mini fiberglass brush to carve through the black ink hair-by-hair, exposing variable degrees of the white clay beneath.

Metal printing on high-quality aluminum highlights this engraving style, while still being very lightweight. The feel of the animal pops just like the original hand-made piece and there is a life-like depth and dimension as the light hits the metal. This 24x36" print is identical to the size of the original. No matter where this piece is displayed, it will steal the show, and will stand the test of time.

Two finishing options are available for these metal prints:

1) Unframed for a contemporary and clean look, a black metal frame on the back is set in from the print’s edge, and has a 1 5/16” depth. A wire is securely attached to the inset frame and allows for easy hanging. The sleek, elegant presentation gives the appearance that the print is floating from the wall.

2) Float framing is a unique and beautiful way to set off the print from the edges of the frame; a 1/8” space between the two creates a floating illusion, with deep edges of the frame on all sides creating a beautiful presentation on any wall. Finishes come in Aged Metallic Gray or Champagne with a soft brushed look; Wood in Walnut or Weathered Gray; or Classic Black. Surface of the metal print is easily wiped clean and dusted with a dry microfiber cloth, and the corners are slightly rounded so there are no sharp points.
