“In Sight”: You see him; he sees right through you. I don’t know anyone who has locked eyes with a wild animal and come away unchanged, usually for the better.

Four sizes of fine art prints are available of the original 16×20” hand-engraved original — 11x14”, 16x20”, 24×30” and 40×50”. Archival inks on Smooth Matte paper produce rich velvety blacks and a wide range of tones to capture every detail of the original engraving. Prints have no borders to allow for personal framing options.

This style of hand-illustrated engraving has been around since the 1800s. A panel of Masonite is covered with white clay and then a thin layer of black India ink on top. Using a small Xacto blade and mini fiberglass brush, I carve through the black ink hair by hair, exposing variable degrees of the white clay beneath.
