Two sizes of fine art prints — 8x10” and 16x20” — are available of the 8x10” hand-engraved original. A comparison of the sizes is available in listing pictures. The 8x”10 print is also available with a heavyweight white double-mat, white core bevel cut, hand-labeled and signed on the mat itself, and ready for an 11x14” frame.

Archival inks on Smooth Matte fine art paper produce rich velvety blacks and a wide range of tones to capture every detail of the original engraving. Prints have no borders to allow for personal framing options.

This style of hand-illustrated engraving has been around since the 1800s. A panel of Masonite is covered with white clay and then a thin layer of black India ink on top. Using a small Xacto blade and mini fiberglass brush, I carve through the black ink hair by hair, exposing variable degrees of the white clay beneath.
